Lush Bubblegum

Hi guys, tonight I'm going to do a review of a product from one of my favourite brands - Lush!  The only store we have in Edinburgh now is Princes Street, and since I'm not up there much I tend to buy mostly online now but I really want to take a wee jaunt up to try out their new Spa!  Another thing I love about Lush, which is important to me, is their fight against animal testing.

Anyhoo tonight I'm reviewing their Bubblegum lip scrub.  This also comes in two other flavours, Mint Julip and Popcorn.  The lid of Bubblegum states 'This sugary perfectly pink polisher keeps lips in tip top condition and tasting of candy floss'.  This statement is absolutely true, bubblegum really does taste amazing!!

This little pot contains 25g of sugary goodness, and believe me 25g is more than enough!  I've had this since November and there's barely a dent in it.  It's not the most hygienic but I dip my finger in to get a little product onto my finger and buff the product into my lips, licking away the excess.  It really does taste like bubblegum and leaves your lips sooo soft, the perfect base for applying further product to your lips.  The only downside is its so moreish if you use it too much it can leave your lips sore!

All in all another fantastic product from Lush at a great price and I'll be picking up Popcorn when I make my next order.

Thanks for reading =)

Soap & Glory 'Peaches and Clean'

Hi folks, tonight I'm going to do a wee review of Soap and Glory's 'Peaches and Clean'.  I've read many a good review on this and mine is no exception.

S&G describe this as a '4-in-1 wash-off deep cleansing milk' with a 'Special clogged t-zone fomula'.  I think the description of a milk is quite accurate, it is quite runny though not so that it runs off your hand!  Though it's  not thick in consistency like most hot cloth cleansers, for example.

The the front of the bottle lists the following ingredients;

  • Peach extract (with skin smoothing fruit acids).
  • Quillaja Bark (a gentle natural 'soap').
  • Jojoba oil (an emollient skin softner).
  • Deoxtboost™ Technology (to help purify and deep clean).
  • Poreshrink R2™ (for a cleaner, fresher, brighter complexion).
Peaches and Clean, rrp £7

I've always been a big fan of S&G products and I think they've got it spot on with this one.  It has a glorious scent of peaches and it does have a 'clean' smell, as well as a nice consistency making it a pleasure to apply to the face.  I usually use this morning and night with my No.7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush (which I highly recommend, if like me you don't want to splash out on a Clarisonic!), and removes make up really well.  Two pumps is usually more than enough to cover the whole face, though if I'm removing make up I like to cleanse twice, just to make sure all of my make up is removed.  This is also very gentle on the eyes.

Without a doubt this product makes my skin silky soft and clean, definitely leaving a clean feeling on my face.  I struggle with a lot of creamy products as my skin can be quite oily and I don't like the feeling of anything too wet or thick on my face but this product is a pleasure to use and I'm sure over time as helped to improve in perfections on my face.  I don't tend to repurchase products often, and had I not been gifted this as part of the Best of All set over Christmas probably wouldn't have bought it myself, but I probably will repurchase this and for the price recommend you give it a go :)

Topshop 'Maisy' Shoes

Just a quick post to say I desperately need these in my life..

I'm rose gold daft at the moment and I love that detail on the nude shoe, but I think I prefer the black.  What do you think?

Essie - No Place like Chrome

My first ever post!  I'll be surprised if anyone but me ever sees this!  Anyway today I'm reviewing Essie in 'No Place like Chrome'.  Pretty chuffed as I managed to pick it up in the Original Factory Shop for the measly price of £3 instead of the usual £7.

No Place like Chrome
I have to admit, my first Essie colour was 'Fiji', and initially I wasn't impressed as thought it was very opaque and chipped early on, however I have since built up my collection of Essie polishes and absolutely love them.  I pair them with Sally Hansen's 'Double Duty' (a holy grail product for me!), and I get a good few days, at least from it.

This polish is a gorgeous silver, almost holographic.  It's very shiny but catches the light really well and I think would go with most outfits.  I used 2 coats as I always like to, but 1 would have been more than sufficient to be honest, and another bonus is it dried really quickly.

2 coats
I picked up another couple of metallic Essie shades whilst I was there, which I may or may not review soon, but I will definitely be picking up more.

Hope you enjoyed my first post, and should I receive any comments I'll be ecstatic! haha :)
